Note that Caticlan Airport is now often called Boracay Airport. This is exactly the same airport. There is no airport on Boracay itself and this is the closest airport to the island.

The distance from Caticlan Jetty to Boracay is just under two kilometres. Caticlan Airport is only about 500 metres from Caticlan Jetty.

The Caticlan Airport to Boracay travel time is just 35 minutes.

BEST OPTION: How To Get To Boracay From Caticlan

The transfer from Caticlan to Boracay island must be by ferry. There are no bridges to Boracay and no airports on the island. If you arrive at Caticlan Airport, you can take a van from the Airport to the Jetty for the ferry.

How To Get From Caticlan To Boracay [2024]

There are two steps to get from Caticlan to Boracay. First, you must get to Caticlan Jetty. Then, you can take the ferry across to Boracay Island.

We are assuming you arrive at Caticlan Airport. If you arrive by bus in Caticlan from elsewhere on the island of Panay, this will often take you directly to the jetty. Otherwise, you may need to walk or take a taxi to the jetty ready for step two below.

Step 1: Caticlan Airport To Boracay

Caticlan or Boracay Airport is the closest airport to Boracay and getting to Boracay from Caticlan airport is easy. Note that there is no airport on the island itself.

When you arrive at the airport, transport from Caticlan airport to Boracay is offered either by tricycle or van.  This transport will take you directly to Caticlan Jetty where you can take a ferry to Boracay Island. 

It’s only about 500 metres from Caticlan Airport to the jetty so you can walk if you want and don’t have much luggage. It only takes about 10 minutes.

Then you are all set for step two which is a ferry ride from Caticlan jetty port to Boracay.  The ferry Caticlan to Boracay is described in more detail below.

You can buy tickets in advance for your transfers from Caticlan Airport to Boracay which include the van ride to the jetty and then the onward ferry ride to Boracay. This is the easiest way to go and a great price.

Step 2: Ferry From Caticlan To Boracay (Caticlan Jetty Port To Boracay)

From Caticlan Port to Boracay, you can take the small bangka or boat.   

The boat schedule from Caticlan to Boracay is usually from 5am to 9pm. The ferry boat fare from Caticlan to Boracay is made up of the following: ₱50 for the boat ticket, ₱100 for the port fee and an environmental fee which is ₱150 for locals and ₱300 for everyone else.  You can purchase your ticket at the port or in advance.

Alternatively, you can also opt for a bigger passenger vessel to Boracay, namely the Boracay Express. The Caticlan jetty port to Boracay fare is usually higher at ₱80, plus the same port and environmental fees as above. For the Boracay Express, the Caticlan to Boracay boat schedule has ferries running around every 1-2 hours, 24/7. 

Another option is to charter a private Caticlan to Boracay boat. A private Caticlan to Boracay boat fare 2024 costs ₱1,000 during the day or ₱2,000 – 2,500 during the evening.

After the scenic boat ride, you arrive at Cagban Jetty in Boracay Island where you can take a tricycle to your accommodation.  Depending on where you’re heading, this usually costs about  ₱100-250 per ride. If you want to take a more budget-friendly option, ride the multi-cab at only ₱40 per person.

Boracay To Caticlan

For a return Boracay to Caticlan transfer, it is the same as above but in reverse.  Just catch a Boracay to Caticlan ferry from Cagban Jetty in Boracay.
