Luzon Travel Guide

At the northern end of the Philippines, you’ll find Luzon, the country’s largest and most populated island as well as home to the country’s capital city Manila.  Visitors don’t tend to spend much time exploring the island of Luzon, which is a shame because it’s a beautiful island known for its spectacular mountains, stunning beaches, small villages and unexplored jungles.  It is also in Luzon, particularly around Manila, where you’ll find most of the country’s Spanish colonial landmarks and monuments.

Luzon tends to attract travellers who appreciate the more natural attractions.  Many first time visitors come to Sagada to explore the mountains and stunning rice terraces or to hike Mt Pulag, the highest mountain on the island.  It is also the ideal destination to learn about the Philippines indigenous cultures as well as the Philippines rich history.
